Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Django Developer role based in Limassol Municipality. The Django Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs that support Breinrock’s fintech products. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features in Django, integrating with payment and banking systems, optimizing database queries, and ensuring application security and performance. The role also involves collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and QA professionals to deliver reliable, user-focused solutions, as well as participating in code reviews and improving development practices. The developer will troubleshoot issues, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of the platform’s architecture. You will work as part of our engineering team to design, develop, and maintain internal platforms and services that support payments, operations, compliance, and customer-facing processes. The position offers exposure to modern backend technologies, financial systems, and real-world business challenges. In addition to software development, you will collaborate closely with various internal teams to understand requirements, improve existing workflows, and deliver practical technical solutions. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Back-End Web Development skills, with hands-on experience in Django and RESTful APIs. • Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, including object-oriented design, testing practices, and version control (e.g., Git). • Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills, such as working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and integrating front-end components with Django back ends. • Candidates should possess robust Programming skills in Python and familiarity with secure coding practices in a fintech context. • Candidates should possess practical experience working with Databases, including relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools. • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial. • Knowledge of financial services, payment processing, or fintech regulations is an advantage. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, communicate clearly, and manage tasks in a dynamic setting. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django. Build and maintain REST APIs using Django REST Framework. Develop new features and enhance existing internal platforms and services. Design and optimize PostgreSQL database structures and queries. ntegrate third-party APIs and external services. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs. Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards. Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and business teams to deliver solutions. Write and maintain technical documentation. Contribute to system improvements, performance optimization, and scalability initiatives. Requirements 1–4 years of experience in software development. Strong knowledge of Python.
