Who We Are

Hi, we're DuckDuckGo, the online protection company and remote-first team of 300+ on a mission to raise the standard of trust online. Founded in 2008 and profitable since 2014, annual revenue now exceeds $100m USD and millions use our browser on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, our search engine, and the latest — Privacy Pro. Our culture of trust, inclusivity, and empowered project management underpins everything we do, where each team member takes full ownership of their projects, from scoping and execution to postmortem. If you're seeking end-to-end ownership of your work — you've come to the right place!

Your Team and Role

Working on the Design Functional Team, this role is design-first, leveraging your product design expertise and obsession with craft to help us maintain quality across our products, including Duck.ai, native apps, search and related projects.

Here’s an example of a recent project the Product Design Engineer team worked on:

• https://spreadprivacy.com/ai-chat/

At DuckDuckGo, Design owns quality end to end, and your engineering skills close the gap between the design that's intended and the product that ships. You're fluent enough in code to prototype, spec precisely, and partner with engineers as a peer, working directly in the codebase to make sure execution clears the bar you set. As our 2nd Design Engineer, you'll have real leadership opportunities to shape the role and discipline!

As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you'll collaborate across levels to solve problems in our current products and pioneer new ones as we build the privacy layer for the Internet. You'll autonomously lead high-impact projects at scale from ideation to execution with a voice in product design decisions large and small.

About You

• 7+ years in product design roles, including 2+ years senior-level at significant global consumer brands
• Pushes creative limits on hard design problems, delivering delight, craft, and exceptional quality
• Communicates visual and interaction recommendations through high-quality mockups, rationale, prototypes, and specific motion variables
• Partners with engineers as a peer — reasoning about decisions in PR reviews, contributing code where it raises design quality
• Prototypes in code to a production standard, with an understanding of semantic markup and accessibility, leveraging but not relying on AI
• Experience structuring a design system beyond component inventory: token layering, primitive vs. semantic naming, design-to-code parity
• Proficient in research and experimentation, using both qualitative and quantitative data, comfortable instrumenting your own work
• Experience participating in multiple areas of the product process including prioritization, strategy, and user testing
• Takes initiative - generates ideas and carries them forward with urgency and discretion, while working openly
• Experience defining requirements and building tools that accelerate design and engineering workflows while retaining design system quality and consistency

Compensation

$178,500 USD annually and stock options. Compensation is identical within professional levels, regardless of geographic location or team. Compensation for each professional level is transparent across the organization.

Eligibility for company-sponsored health benefits is limited to team members based in the United States. This program does not extend to team members located in other countries, such as Canada or the UK.

Our Team Member Support Guide explains how we prioritize your wellbeing including paid parental leave, office setup, and co-working allowances.

• Expect to travel at least two times a year: once for our all-hands meetup and again for a team retreat (each around 4-5 days). While extenuating circumstances may impact attendance, everyone is strongly encouraged to attend.
• While we offer a flexible work arrangement with no core hours, expect an average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

About Scorewarrior

Scorewarrior is an independent game studio with a single mission: to excite and unite players all over the world. For over 10 years we've been pursuing it through Total Battle — a product we continue to actively and successfully grow. We're a team of 230 self-motivated professionals who know and love their craft, and we've recently begun an active company-wide adoption of AI tools.

Our home is a great office in Limassol, Cyprus. We offer a strong relocation package for you and your family, and we put real effort into making life on the island genuinely varied and interesting.

Location & format: Onsite — Limassol, Cyprus

Full relocation support provided

The mission of this role

We are building an AI Platform team, and you will join as one of its first engineers.

Our goal is to dramatically increase the leverage our engineering and product teams get from LLMs by building shared production infrastructure across the development lifecycle: secure access to models and tools, MCP infrastructure, knowledge and retrieval, agent execution, observability, evaluation and automation.

What you'll be doing:

• Build and operate core AI infrastructure: model access, provider abstraction, identity, credentials, quotas, fallback, usage and cost visibility.
• Build managed MCP infrastructure with tool-level access control, credentials, auditability and self-service onboarding.
• Design runtime and orchestration capabilities for production AI agents, from knowledge retrieval and log analysis to code execution and workflow automation.
• Build observability, evaluation and security guardrails for AI workloads.
• Work with engineering and product teams to turn high-impact AI use cases into reusable platform capabilities.
• Own systems end-to-end: architecture, implementation, infrastructure, deployment, observability and production support.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience designing and delivering production backend, infrastructure or platform services.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong system-level understanding: service and API design, distributed systems and data flows.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, observability, reliability and production operations.
• Practical understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets management and secure service design.
• Ability to take ambiguous problems, make architectural trade-offs and deliver production solutions end-to-end.

Ways to stand out:

• Production experience with LLM applications, agentic systems or RAG.
• Experience with MCP, model gateways, LLM observability or evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search or embeddings.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Python backend frameworks (such as FastAPI) and cloud-native infrastructure tooling such as Helm or Kubernetes operators

Why join Scorewarrior?

• A Great Place to Work. 99% employee satisfaction, low turnover, and colleagues who genuinely enjoy collaborating.
• Live and work in sunny Cyprus. We’re an office-first team in Limassol with a modern seaside workspace, and full relocation and visa support for you and your family.
• Shape a global hit. We’re the only European studio with a 4X strategy title in the world’s top-10. Our top-50 mobile game has grown 25x in revenue and audience in the last five years.
• Grow fast in a company that’s already strong. We’re independent, financially rock-solid, and expanding at startup speed, and we have never had lay-offs.
• Work where ideas win. Flat structure, collective decision-making, and honest feedback create full transparency and help you grow fast.
• Earn industry-leading rewards. High salaries, a 13th month, performance bonuses, and extra rewards for long service, marriage, or welcoming a child, and lunch every day.
• Feel supported at every stage of life. Private family health insurance, plus a monthly allowance for children’s pre-school, school, and university education.
• Your growth is our priority. From specialized training and certifications to language courses and books, you’ll have everything you need to keep learning.

CBRN Specialist

SME Careers

📍 Cyprus
💼 Contract
🏠 Remote for Cyprus

Описание вакансии

In this hourly, remote contractor role, you will work as a CBRN Specialist (SME) to review AI-generated content related to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear safety topics and/or create high-quality reference content that supports safe, accurate, policy-aligned AI behavior. • Python, uv, FastAPI, PydanticAI
• PostgreSQL, Docker, Docker Compose
• AWS: EC2, ECR, S3, Lambda
• Interfaces and tooling: Streamlit or similar tools, pytest, ruff, pyright, OpenTelemetry

What We Offer:

• Fully remote work, giving you the flexibility you need in the modern world
• A collaborative environment encouraging you to own your domain and implement best practices
• Stable income, benefits, flexible working hours, and opportunities for promotion.
• Friendly and professional peers, eager to help and help you grow.
• A multitude of interesting challenges and opportunities.

Product Manager

xpate

📍 Limassol
💼 Employment type not specified
🏠 Work mode not specified

Описание вакансии

We’re looking for a Product Manager to build the operational backbone of the company — internal platforms, workflow systems, and AI-powered automation for operational teams. This is not a growth, onboarding, or customer-facing product role.

You’ll work on the systems that keep operations running at scale: back-office platforms, review workflows, case management, compliance operations, internal tooling, and process automation.

We’re looking for someone who loves fixing operational chaos, simplifying complex workflows, and using automation and AI to eliminate repetitive manual work.

You should be excited by questions like:

• What parts of this process should not exist manually?
• Where can AI reduce operational load?
• How do we help teams move faster with fewer errors?
• What should be automated, and where should humans stay in the loop?

Your role at xpate:

• Build and scale internal operational platforms and workflow systems.
• Identify high-impact automation opportunities across operational processes.
• Design AI-assisted workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
• Partner closely with operations teams to understand bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Work with engineering and data teams to ship practical automation solutions.
• Prototype and validate ideas quickly using modern AI and productivity tools.
• Define and measure operational impact: automation rate, SLA reduction, processing speed, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Continuously improve workflows based on data and real operational usage.

We’re ready to meet you, if…

• Has experience building internal tools, operational systems, workflow platforms, or back-office products.
• Thinks in systems, workflows, operational efficiency and scalability.
• Has worked on automation initiatives, ideally involving AI or intelligent workflows.
• Can clearly demonstrate measurable business impact from their work.
• Has strong ownership and execution skills - from problem discovery to shipped solution.
• Moves fast, prototypes quickly, and actively uses AI tools in daily work.
• Is comfortable operating in ambiguity and improving messy processes.
• Enjoys working closely with operational teams and solving real execution problems.

Nice to have

• Fintech, payments, compliance, or risk operations experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted operations, LLM workflows, or internal copilots.
• Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code automation tools.
• Experience in high-scale or regulated environments.

What working at xpate looks like:

• A dynamic work environment with real ownership, practical challenges, and continuous learning opportunities.
• Work on meaningful AI automation problems, not AI hype projects.
• The opportunity to work on real fintech infrastructure in a regulated international environment.
• Flexible working hours and a hybrid working model.
• Private health insurance.
• Paid time off and additional company benefits.
• A collaborative team culture where initiative, curiosity, and accountability are valued.

Why join xpate?

We’re building the financial backbone of the future — where payments move freely and businesses grow without barriers. If you want real impact, freedom to innovate, and work that drives change, xpate is the place for you.

About Us

xpate’s story

xpate is an all-in-one money management platform built for businesses, fintechs, and regulated industries. Born in Riga and now spreading around the globe, xpate helps digital businesses pay, get paid, and keep money flowing seamlessly and securely across borders, industries, and technologies.

Product Manager

OneJar

📍 Limassol
💼 Employment type not specified
🏠 Work mode not specified

Описание вакансии

We are recruiting an experienced Product Manager, on behalf of a client building a payment orchestration platform within an established group.

The platform sits between merchants and the payment ecosystem. One integration for the merchant. Behind it, multiple providers, with each transaction routed on cost, likelihood of success and availability.

The business is pre-launch. The architecture is being defined now. It is being built to PCI DSS Level 1 service provider requirements, and designed from day one for DORA — as an ICT third-party service provider to financial entities — and for the EU AI Act.

The Role

You own product development and delivery for the platform.

Your mandate is simple to state and hard to do: define what gets built, sequence it correctly, and land the platform in production at PCI DSS Level 1. That certification is not a compliance afterthought running in parallel to the build. It is the delivery target. Every architectural and product decision either supports it or costs time the business does not have.

This is a builder's role. In year one you write the specs yourself and work daily with the CTO and the engineering team. A product team grows under you once the platform is live and scaling.

Scope boundary.

Commercial negotiation, payment provider relationships and merchant sales sit with a separate role. You are not carrying a revenue target or a partner pipeline. You own what gets built, when it ships, and whether it passes audit.

Our client is looking for a strong platform product leader. Payments is a complex domain and prior experience in it is a real advantage — but they would rather hire an excellent product mind who can get deep fast than an average one who already knows the acronyms. The domain expertise exists in house to bring you up to speed. What cannot be supplied is judgement.

What You Will Own

Product definition. The written specification of what the platform is and what it does. Requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases. The single source engineering builds from.

The routing engine. This is the product. The rules that decide where each transaction goes, what happens when it fails, when to retry, and when additional customer authentication is worth the friction it costs.

Delivery. The roadmap, the sequencing, the release plan. Dependencies identified before they bite. Scope cut when the date matters more than the feature, and defended when it does not.

PCI DSS Level 1 as a delivery programme. Cardholder data environment scope defined and held. Evidence, documentation and control ownership tracked as work items, not as a scramble before the assessment. Engineering, Compliance and the external QSA working from one plan — yours.

Merchant-facing product surfaces. Onboarding and verification flows, sandbox and go-live, dashboard, reporting, reconciliation, dispute handling.

The API as a product. Developer experience, reference documentation, versioning policy, SDKs, webhook design. The buyers are engineers. The integration is the sales pitch.

Compliance by design. Working with Legal & Compliance so that PCI scope, DORA resilience obligations and AI Act classification shape the architecture up front, instead of being retrofitted before an audit.

AI-enabled capability. Risk scoring, transaction monitoring, operational automation — specified with the regulatory obligations understood, and with sensitive data kept out of scope.

What You Need

Essential

• 5+ years in product management, with a track record of owning a product, not a feature set.
• Shipped API-first platform or infrastructure products. Not consumer apps. You understand that the developer is the customer.
• Zero-to-one experience. You have taken something from nothing to live, in production, with real users — and you can describe what broke.
• Delivered against a hard external deadline — an audit, a certification, a regulatory date — where slipping was not an option and the scope had to bend instead.
• Technical fluency. You can hold your own in a design discussion with a CTO. You do not need to write the code. You do need to understand the trade-off being made and challenge it.
• Strong written specification skills. Your documents are precise enough that engineers do not have to guess.
• Experience in a technically complex domain — payments, fintech, infrastructure, marketplaces, logistics, adtech or similar — where the hard part was the system, not the interface.
• Experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment, where security, audit or certification requirements shaped the design.
• Proven speed of learning. You can point to a domain you knew nothing about and became credible in within months.
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete data, and equally comfortable changing them when evidence arrives.
• Fluent English, written and spoken. Greek is not required.
• Right to work in the EU, or eligible for Cyprus work authorisation, and willing to be based in Limassol.

Strong advantage

• Direct payments experience — at a PSP, acquirer, gateway, orchestrator, or a company running its own payment stack.
• Familiarity with the card flow: authorisation, capture, refunds, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks.
• Knowledge of 3DS and SCA, PSD2 exemptions, tokenisation, or scheme mandates.
• Prior involvement in a PCI DSS assessment, ISO 27001 certification, or SOC 2 audit — from the delivery side, not the advisory side.
• Multi-provider routing or authorisation-rate optimisation with a measurable uplift you can quantify.
• Applied ML in fraud, risk scoring, or operational automation.
• Experience with a scope-reduction architecture — tokenisation, hosted fields, or an external vault.

What This Role Is Not

• Not a commercial role. Partner and merchant relationships are owned elsewhere.
• Not a delivery-administration role either. You are not tracking someone else's plan. You are writing it.
• Not a role where the domain stays at surface level. You do not need to arrive an expert. You do need to become one.
• Not a finished company. Scope will move. You will make calls with incomplete information and own the outcome.

Senior ML / AI Engineer

Tango

📍 Limassol
💼 Full time
🏠 Hybrid

Описание вакансии

Description

Tango is a market-leading live-streaming platform with 450+ million registered users, in an industry projected to reach $240 billion in the next couple of years. Founded in 2018, powered by 500+ people globally, built on best-in-class video technology that lets talented people everywhere create live content, engage their fans and monetize their talent. We push the limits to move the app from "one of the top" to "the leader" — and the biggest lever we have right now is how well we can put models into the product.

AI is the product surface here, not a research sandbox.

We are forming a new team around a single premise: one engineer who is fluent with LLMs and able to train a purpose built model of their own can take an AI feature from "this might work" to production traffic — at the scale we run, where parts of the platform peak at 50k RPS and 450M+ registered users see the result.

We are not looking for a prompt specialist, and we are not looking for someone who only trains models and hands over a checkpoint. We want engineers who move freely between both: reach for a frontier LLM when it is the right answer, distil or train a small specialised model when latency, cost or accuracy say otherwise, and own the thing in production either way.

Why this role is different

Both halves of the job, in one person. LLM systems and your own trained models are not separate teams here. The interesting decisions live exactly on the line between them, and you get to make them.

Real problems with real signal. Live video and audio, content moderation and trust & safety, recommendation and ranking, abuse and fraud, creator monetization. Large volumes of production data and immediate feedback on whether your model helped.

A real toolbox. Frontier model APIs and open-weight models, GPU budget for training and serving, plus internal agents, MCP servers and evaluation tooling built in-house against our own data. Time to evaluate new tools — we adopt fast and drop fast.

You set the practice. This is a new role at Tango. How we evaluate models, gate releases, version prompts and datasets, and decide build-vs-buy is not written yet. You write it, and you share it with the wider engineering org. No ceremony. A feature starts as a goal, not a ticket. You decide with the product manager what is worth building, and then you build it.

Responsibilities

Own the problem, not just the model. With the product manager, turn a goal into a solution: question the proposed approach, offer alternatives, and say what to leave out.

Build with LLMs. Context engineering, retrieval, tool use and agentic flows, structured outputs, guardrails — plus fine tuning and distillation when a general model is too slow, too expensive, or not good enough.

Train your own models. When a small, narrow, purpose-built model wins — moderation and safety classifiers, ranking and recommendation, audio and vision, abuse and anomaly detection — you own it from data collection and labelling strategy through training and evaluation.

Decide build vs. buy, with numbers. Frontier API, open-weight model, or trained in-house: justified on quality, latency, unit cost and data-privacy constraints, not on preference.

Ship it to production. Serving under real load, latency and cost budgets, batching and quantization, safe rollout, and integration with the backend services and clients the feature touches.

Prove it works. Offline evaluation sets you build and defend, then online A/B. Monitoring for drift, regressions and feedback loops once it is live, and the honesty to roll something back.

You will not do this alone, and you are not expected to be an expert in all of it. Domain experts in backend, platform, infrastructure, data, web, Android and iOS are there to be asked, and those teams maintain the tooling, conventions and test platform for each surface.

Requirements

What we're looking for

LLM ENGINEERING

• Hands-on production experience with LLMs — not demos: retrieval, tool use and agents, structured output, prompt and context engineering under latency and cost constraints
• Practical adaptation of models: SFT / LoRA / preference tuning, and distilling a large model into a small one you can actually afford to serve
• You build evaluations before you build confidence: task-specific datasets, sensible use of LLM-as-judge and awareness of where it lies, offline-to-online correlation
• Clear-eyed about failure modes — hallucination, prompt injection, silent quality drift, benchmark overfitting — and you verify rather than trust

TRAINING YOUR OWN MODELS

• You have trained and shipped models on real, messy production data — classification, ranking or recommendation, CV, speech/audio, or abuse and anomaly detection
• Full ownership of the data path: collection, labelling strategy and label quality, splits, leakage, class imbalance, and the cost of getting these wrong
• Solid ML fundamentals and the ability to debug a model rather than retrain it and hope
• Fluent in Python and PyTorch, and efficient with GPUs — you know what your training run costs and why

PRODUCTION ENGINEERING

• 5+ years of professional engineering overall, with genuine software engineering skill — this role does not end in a notebook
• Serving models under real load: throughput, tail latency, batching, caching, quantization, and the trade-offs between them
• Reproducible pipelines and orchestration; versioning of data, models and prompts; the ability to explain what exactly was deployed last Tuesday
• Production monitoring for ML: drift, regression detection, feedback loops, and safe rollback
• Comfortable working with the services and clients around your model — backend, web, Android and iOS — with AI tooling and expert support

English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher

How You Work

• Daily, hands-on use of AI coding agents in real production work, and the ability to scope tasks well for them Comfortable owning a feature end to end: design, implementation, evaluation, rollout, and the result You have lived with what you shipped rather than handing it over at the end
• Direct, easy collaboration with product managers, designers and data analysts

Would be great to have

• Real-time or streaming inference on live video and audio; on-device or edge models
• Content moderation, trust & safety, or anti-fraud at consumer scale
• Recommendation and ranking systems for consumer feeds, with online experimentation
• Multimodal work: video, audio, speech, or text-and-image together
• Serving and training infrastructure: vLLM, Triton, TensorRT, Ray, Kubeflow or similar
• Building or improving agentic development workflows — custom agents, MCP servers, evals — and sharing what works with other engineers
• Enough Java 17+ / Spring Boot to integrate cleanly with our backend, or readiness to ramp up quickly Live-streaming, video, high-scale consumer products, fintech or communication platforms
• Docker and Kubernetes, GCP and BigQuery, Aerospike

Technical stack

ML: Python, PyTorch, Hugging Face, GPU training and inference on GCP, experiment tracking and model registry, BigQuery for data.

Platform: Java 17–21 and Spring Boot, GCP, Apache Kafka, MySQL, Redis, Aerospike, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab. Clients: React and TypeScript on web, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on Android, Swift on iOS.

How We Hire

• An intro call.
• A 90-minute working session on a small, real problem over live-streaming data, which we hand you at the start. You work on your own machine, with your own AI tooling, sharing your screen. We are interested in how you frame the problem, what baseline you choose, what you ask us, and how you satisfy yourself that what you built actually works. Fluency with our particular stack is not scored, and there is nothing to prepare.
• A final conversation with the team, including a deep dive into a model or AI feature you took to production.

What We Offer

• Stock options — every employee is a partner in the company
• Competitive salary and performance review bonus
• Hybrid working model: one day per week remotely
