Хрисемили Псилогени, председатель ассоциации, назвала мифом мнение о том, что в турсекторе преобладают низкие зарплаты. В эфире телеканала «Сигма» она заявила, что это не так. «Один из видов расходов, которые в нашей отрасли в последнее время выросли — это расходы на заработную плату», ― сказала она, добавив, что индустрия туризма ― единственный сектор экономики, где минимальная заработная плата действует с 2019 года и охватывает 11 специальностей . «Ни одна другая отрасль экономики не сделала этого [до введения национального МРОТ], это была наша собственная инициатива. Наши минимальные зарплаты выше, чем МРОТ по стране», ― сказала она, отметив, что сперва через три месяца, а затем через полгода работы жалованье увеличивается.

1 июня 2023 года, с вступлением в силу указа о минимальной заработной плате в гостиничном бизнесе, ежемесячная заработная плата сотрудников отелей увеличилась на сумму от 62 до 77 евро. Указ охватывает девять специальностей. Для некоторых из них рост зарплаты зависит от стажа работника. Например, горничная с опытом работы менее трех месяцев будет получать 986 евро в месяц, а с опытом более трех месяцев – 1039 евро. Самая высокая зарплата будет у сотрудников ресепшена и у работников мини-баров (1147 евро). Самая низкая – у портье со стажем менее шести месяцев и у помощников сотрудников ресепшн (932 евро).
Действительно, в подавляющем большинстве случаев минимальная оплата в отелях превышает национальную минимальную заработную плату, которая составляет от 885 до 940 евро (после шести месяцев работы) без учета налогов. Однако важно понимать, что не все работники заняты на фиксированной месячной ставке, многие работают за почасовую оплату.

В то же время, согласно данным Статистической службы, сектор услуг размещения и общественного питания входит в число самых низкооплачиваемых. Среднемесячный «чистый» заработок в этой категории деятельности составляет 1413 евро, в то время как среднемесячный «чистый» заработок в целом всех кипрских работников в 2022 году был равен 2202 евро.
Виновата нехватка информации
На вопрос, почему этот сектор не привлекает достаточного количества работников, Псилогени ответила, что на Кипре «нет желания работать в некоторых профессиях». Requirements:
3 years of experience in IT with excellent customer service background and strong interpersonal communications skills;
Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 and above including Small Business Server (SBS) and Business Essentials;
Configure and troubleshoot Windows 8, Windows 10 and Mac OS X;
Working knowledge of firewall technologies, specifically SonicWALL, Ubiquiti and pfSense;
Ability to manage outside vendors to resolve client service requests;
Ability to troubleshoot computer and peripheral hardware issues;
Effective multi-tasking skills and ability to succeed in up-tempo work environments and meet deadlines;
Versatility to adapt and research new ideas and methods, and demonstrated ability to analyze problems and make decisions;
Experience working within a managed service provider environment;
Knowledge and experience with virtual environments to include VMware, Hyper-V, Azure and AWS is preferred;
