Investment & AI Analyst

Loggerhead Partners

📍 Nicosia
💼 Employment type not specified
🏠 Work mode not specified

Описание вакансии

Loggerhead Partners is a boutique independent financial services firm providing global family office and strategic advisory services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families. Our work sits at the intersection of investment management, financial markets and strategic decision-making. On a day-to-day basis, we manage investment portfolios, conduct top-down and bottom-up research across macroeconomic themes and individual companies, and analyse a broad range of asset classes and investment products.

We are looking for a final-year University of Cyprus student or UCY alumnus to join our team on a part-time basis as an Investment & AI Analyst.

Finance meets Artificial Intelligence

We are taking a deliberately forward-looking approach to our investment process and are actively integrating Artificial Intelligence into the way we research, analyse and make investment decisions. We use AI to build specialised agents and tools, run scenarios, interrogate large amounts of information, test investment hypotheses and assess ideas from different angles.

This is not simply an opportunity to use existing AI tools. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and develop new tools from scratch, experiment with emerging technologies, validate their output and determine how they can be incorporated into a real-world investment process.

The role also offers an unusually close view of the rapidly developing AI investment ecosystem. The firm's principal is a venture advisor to an Austin-based venture capital fund and an advisor to a number of US-based cutting-edge AI companies, providing direct exposure to developments at the forefront of AI and AI investing. The successful candidate will therefore have the opportunity to gain insight into what is happening at the root of the AI ecosystem—both from a technology and an investment perspective—which is highly unusual for a student or early-career professional in Cyprus.

The opportunity

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the AI component of our investment process and help us continuously develop, maintain and improve the tools we use to support our investment decision-making.

The role would suit someone who has a strong interest in finance and investing, combined with a genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology and AI.

You do not need to know everything from day one. What matters most is a natural aptitude for learning, intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking and a strong sense of ownership. You will be expected to explore unfamiliar technologies, build solutions, test and stress-test them, identify weaknesses and ultimately be able to explain and make the case for why a particular tool or approach should—or should not—be adopted in our day-to-day work.

In addition to the AI and investment-related work, the role may involve supporting other projects across the firm, including data analysis and data crunching, investment research, testing and improving our recently implemented family office technology platform, and other analytical projects as they arise.

Who we are looking for

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

• Are a final-year University of Cyprus student or UCY alumnus/alumna;
• Have a strong interest in finance, investing and financial markets;
• Have a genuine passion for Artificial Intelligence and emerging technology;
• Are naturally curious and enjoy learning how things work;
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Are comfortable experimenting, testing ideas and learning from failure;
• Can work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish;
• Are able to communicate their thinking clearly and defend their conclusions;
• Are excited by the prospect of working at the intersection of finance, investment research and AI.

This is a part-time role designed to provide meaningful hands-on exposure rather than a traditional internship consisting primarily of routine tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's team and will have the opportunity to see how investment decisions are actually researched, challenged and implemented within a boutique family office environment.
