Staff Software Engineer
Wrike
📍 Cyprus, Nicosia
🏢 2100 Backend
💼 Employment type not specified
🏠 Remote for Cyprus
Описание вакансии
Wrike is the most powerful work management platform. Built for teams and organizations looking to collaborate, create, and exceed every day, Wrike brings everyone and all work into a single place to remove complexity, increase productivity, and free people up to focus on their most purposeful work.
Our vision: A world where everyone is free to focus on their most purposeful work, together.
About the Role:
Wrike’s Backend Reliability (BRE) team is the backbone of our backend infrastructure and the guardian of our uptime. Our mission is to achieve and sustain 99.99% availability while building the tools, components, and safety nets that the entire engineering organization relies on. As a Senior / Staff Backend Engineer on this team, you won’t just close tickets - you’ll architect core reliability solutions that shape how Wrike scales, performs, and recovers from failure.
Your Impact:
• Design, build, and maintain critical reliability components such as HTTP rate limiters, internal DB schema migration tools, circuit breakers, and distributed Redis-based caching.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize PostgreSQL usage, and ensure our distributed systems remain performant and stable under high load.
• Lead preliminary investigations during severe production incidents: identify likely root causes, assess impact, and propose mitigation options. The long-term fixes are then implemented by the owning team, based on your findings.
• Create scalable, reusable tools and frameworks that help other engineering teams build more resilient services.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and coding agents to accelerate development, analyze architectures, and automate repetitive or error-prone tasks.
• Influence reliability best practices across engineering by sharing knowledge, reviewing designs, and setting high technical standards.
Your Qualifications:
• Strong expertise with Java/JVM, building scalable, high-performance backend systems; open to leveraging other languages when appropriate.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts, including high availability, CAP theorem, and fault tolerance.
• Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and key–value / non-relational storages (Redis).
• Practical experience with containerization and cloud-native environments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, using critical thinking to question assumptions and validate your own decisions.
• Strong written and spoken English skills suitable for collaborating in an international engineering environment.
Standout Qualities:
• Background in infrastructure engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), including infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, driving cross-team projects, and mentoring other engineers while remaining an individual contributor.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring stacks (e.g., Graylog, Zabbix, Grafana) and/or data analytics tools such as BigQuery.
• A strong interest in how complex systems fail and a track record of designing them to recover gracefully.
Team Dynamics:
You will join the Backend Reliability (BRE) team, a small, highly specialized, senior group focused solely on Wrike’s reliability. The team operates as an internal “reliability task force,” partnering closely with product and platform engineering teams across the company. You’ll collaborate with other senior engineers who value autonomy, deep technical discussions, and rigorous engineering practices. The culture is ownership-driven: you are trusted to manage your time, make architectural decisions, and drive initiatives to completion.
Our Work Style:
The BRE team works on core backend and infrastructure services that support millions of users. We operate in a collaborative environment that values clear communication, thoughtful design, and fast feedback loops.
• Tech focus areas include: Java/JVM-based services, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ/Kafka, and observability/monitoring tools.
• We encourage the use of modern AI-based tooling and coding agents as part of daily development and troubleshooting workflows.
• Work is organized with an emphasis on impact and reliability goals rather than ticket volume, giving you room for deep work and long-term improvements.
• Hybrid work mode (Prague, Czech Republic / Nicosia, Cyprus), with flexibility to balance focused individual work and collaborative sessions.
Benefits & Perks:
• 25 calendar days of paid vacation
• Sick Leave Compensation (5 Paid Uncertified Sick Days)
• Parental Leave: 18 Weeks Maternity / 4 Week Paternity
• 2 Volunteer Days
• Medical Insurance (Employees + Dependents)
• Hybrid Working Model
• School Allowance (Up to €600/month for school aged kids)
• Simcard w/ Unlimited Internet Access for active employees
• Office Lunch Allowance (via Wolt) on Wednesdays / Thursdays
What’s next?
• Interview with a Recruiter
• Technical interview
• System Design Interview
• Cultural interview
Your recruitment buddy will be Aleksandar Chernev, Senior Technical Recruiter.

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong Playwright experience to help us improve and scale our E2E testing approach. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable releases and strong product quality across real user workflows.
Tech Stack
• Playwright
• TypeScript / Node.js
• Mocha.js
• GitLab CI

• Mountebank
Responsibilities
• E2E Strategy & Execution: Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle. Design and implement complex test scenarios that simulate real-world user behavior across our entire product suite.
• Shift-Left Quality: Promote a "shift-left" mindset by collaborating with Product and Engineering early in the SDLC to identify risks during the design and requirement phases.
• CI/CD Integration: Ensure automated suites are a reliable "green light" in our GitLab CI pipelines. Work with DevOps to manage test environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Defect Leadership: Beyond logging bugs, you will drive their resolution, helping the team prioritize issues based on product impact and technical risk.
• API & Backend Verification: Maintain and expand automated tests for our HTTP APIs (Node.js/Mocha) and ensure data integrity.
• Playwright Expert: Build, maintain, and scale our UI automation framework using Playwright and TypeScript. With working closely with developers and DevOps, optimize test execution for speed, reliability, and coverage.
Requirements
• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, with significant recent experience using Playwright and TypeScript/Node.js.
• E2E Specialist: Proven track record of designing tests that cover complex product workflows, not just isolated features.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with Docker and the ability to troubleshoot issues within a containerized environment.
• Pipeline Experience: Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience integrating tests into GitLab CI or similar tools.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Allure TestOps or similar tools

Staff Software Engineer
Wrike
📍 Cyprus
• 5 Weeks of paid vacation
• Sick Leave Compensation
• 5 Paid Uncertified Sick Days
• 2 weeks fully paid w/ medical certificate, additional
• 4 weeks paid at 80% salary rate

• Annual Prague Travel Card (Lítačka)
• Hybrid Working Model
• Benefit budget with flexible options, including a MultiSport card, Canadian Medical membership, contributions to a pension savings plan and additional choices available through Benefit Plus

• A modern, sunny office close to the sea.
• Private health insurance for you and your family members.
• A monthly pre-school, school, and university allowance for employees' children.
• Lunch compensation.

Senior Client C++ Developer (Platform)
Scorewarrior
📍 Limassol
🏢 Platform
💼 Employment type not specified
🏠 On-site
Описание вакансии
About the product
Total Battle is an MMO 4X strategy game with deep political systems and intense player-to-player interaction. Players build cities, forge alliances, fight monsters, and compete for dominance. The game runs on mobile and web, with millions of active players, which means every technical decision we make is felt at scale.
Why this role exists
Our framework team carries a wide mandate: we own the foundation that every game feature is built on — from the rendering and UI layer to the asset pipeline, build system, debug tooling, and developer documentation. That foundation has real problems today.
🎯Our mission: create a reliable foundation for product development — simple, fast, and high-quality — so that game features can be built without friction.
Right now we have two codebases (C++ mobile, C# Unity), slow developer iteration cycles, UI that only engineers can touch, and technical constraints that limit what we can ship. This hire is part of the team that will fundamentally solve these problems — and make sure they never come back.
What you'll work on
Your area of ownership spans the full client platform stack:
• Framework core and LibRocket integration
• Game engine layer and cross-platform support
• Tooling for artists, animators, and UI/UX specialists
• Build pipeline, CI, and test infrastructure
• App initialization and startup performance
• Debug tooling and observability
• Developer regulations and documentation
Near-term tasks in the backlog include: building an extensible asset loader, reducing nullptr risk, improving code testability, lowering the cost of adding debug functionality, and moving to a unified build pipeline. Alongside this, the team is validating an experiment that may lead to building a new client from scratch — a significant greenfield opportunity.
The north star
We're working toward a single codebase across all platforms, where business logic is engine-agnostic and platform-specific code lives only at the framework level. Features will be isolated modules with explicit interfaces and dependencies. Artists and animators will be able to see their work in the game without a developer in the loop. The game will react to player actions instantly — no spinners, no rollbacks. And no waiting on store review to ship fixes.
That's where we're going. Your job is to help get us there.
Who you are
We're looking for an engineer who goes deeper than the task description. When given a problem, you dig for the root cause before proposing a solution. You think in products: MVP first, iterate, measure against real metrics. You design APIs that don't become roadblocks six months later.
• Self-directed: you work from a problem statement, not a step-by-step spec
• Product-minded: you decompose work into deliverable slices and validate assumptions early
• Strong system designer: your APIs are clean, flexible, and future-proof
• Proactive: you identify problems others have accepted and propose solutions
• Communicates clearly in technical English — written RFCs, code review, cross-team discussion
We're not looking for someone who wants a clearly scoped ticket to execute, or someone whose primary motivation is building gameplay features. This team builds the platform that makes gameplay possible.
Requirements
• 3+ years of C++ (17+) or similar experience in a client application at a product company
• Strong grasp of design principles and patterns (and knowing when not to use them)
• Experience with task decomposition and iterative delivery
• Proficiency in technical English (reading docs, writing RFCs, async collaboration)
Nice to have
• Active use of LLMs in your work to significantly boost your productivity
• Experience with game engines or framework-level development
• Commercial experience with Cocos2d-x
• Experience with Unity (C#)
• Familiarity with cross-platform build systems (CMake, CI pipelines)
How we work
You'll receive a problem, not a ticket. You're expected to explore the context, identify the root cause, propose and align on a solution, ship it, and then verify it worked based on feedback and metrics. Delivery is incremental: proof of concept to validate a hypothesis, then a full solution. Predictability matters as much as output.
After 12 months, a great hire here is fully autonomous — picking up problems that span both technical and product dimensions, delivering in predictable increments, and raising the capability of the people around them.
Why join Scorewarrior
• Onsite work in Limassol, Cyprus: We aim to provide a comprehensive benefits package that supports both your professional growth and comfortable life in Cyprus. You will work from our modern offices in Limassol, surrounded by a highly professional and passionate team that truly enjoys what they do.
• Stable and transparent compensation, 13th salary, a bonus after successfully passing probation
• Additional paid days (sick leaves, Christmas holidays, corporate conferences and events)
• Full relocation coverage for you and your family, if not in Cyprus yet
• Monthly allowance for preschool, school, and university expenses for employees’ children
• Access to courses, learning platforms, and professional resources
• Company-funded professional and language courses, books, and certifications
• Access to gyms and sports facilities via SportBenefit
• Private health insurance for you and your family members
